Oroville Municipal Airport (KOVE)

Oroville, California

I had a Private Pilot who was working on her Instrument Rating and trying to build time for her Commercial Cross-Country requirements but was unfamiliar with the area. So, she wanted to bring a CFI along for the flight..... :)

And we're off on our adventure ..............

A wonderful wrap-around sofa with comfortable reclining seat on the right of the photo. Also, TV and VCR/DVD for comfort of the pilot and his/her visitors. VERY nice touches!!!

Just across from the airport (make sure you use the tie downs on the right side of the airport) is the Table Top Restaurant which serves a local golf course and offers good short-order type food - reasonably priced and earnest service.

Goodbye, Oroville! I've made a promise to myself to fly back here some day soon and explore the town and Oroville Dam recreation area.

I've always found this land feature intriguing; lush green trees growing along the flowing river.

Nope, can't tell you what this is - I just found the colorations interesting.. :0)

Going off our route on the way back, for a moment, we took a peek at Tracy Municipal Airport from above.

The town of Livermore with Mount Diablo in the distance in the upper left portion of the photograph.

Our journey drawing to a close as the sun gets lower in the sky and I take this last photo of the San Francisco Bay in the distance. We pass over the last hills that lead to our reporting point for Reid-Hillview which is over the Calaveras Reservoir.
