Sometimes, VFR (Visual Flight Rules) pilots will joke about flying "IFR" (with a pseudo-definition of "I Follow Roads").  The correct definition appears below and requires additional training to achieve the rating.

 

INSTRUMENT FLIGHT RULES [ICAO]- A set of rules governing the conduct of flight under instrument meteorological conditions.
